Triggers to CFS

There are many triggers to CFS, not just one cause. Recently I have been studying disease triggers on my nutrition course and thought back to when I first got ill in 2008 as to what triggered my CFS. Below is the list of my triggers as well as the factors that were driving my symptoms.

My Triggers to CFS

Suppressed memories

High sugar diet

High wheat diet

Glandular Fever

Low immune system

Mercury exposure

Working with chemicals

High tuna diet

Food Additives/Aspartame

processed foods

Geopathic stress

Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR)

Moving home/New job/Working full time and studying/Stress

Lack of emotional support/

Poor diet/Poor sleep

Exhaustion/Adrenal fatigue

I would love to hear what were the triggers to your CFS. It is something that is worth thinking about so that you can avoid the triggers and symptoms in future and live a more peaceful, happy and healthy life.

  1. I love the idea of making a chart! Mine came on three months after severe emotional trauma following a bereavement, it was also only a year after having the BCG vaccination though and my diet was also poor at the time (gluten, meat, dairy, pop, takeaways). I do wonder if early childhood trauma played a part too, as a lot of people with ME seem to have suffered some kind of trauma before they were 5 years old. xxx

    1. A chart is a great way to see your triggers in a visual way! My CFS came on 2 months after a very traumatic event. It sounds like you had a lot going on before you got ill. It’s highly likely that your childhood trauma did play a part. The only early childhood trauma I can remember is when I got locked in the toilet on my first day of school, that was traumatic. I would have been 4 or 5 then. Perhaps ME is an emotional disease caused by trapped emotions in the body and the other areas get out of balance because on the mind-body-spirit
